What is Blogbellion? It is a wake-up call. Our local stores are dying. These stores are run by our friends and families. With every Kindle book we buy, with every iTunes song we buy, we kill a small piece of our friends, our families. We even kill a piece of our very own neighborhoods. The bleeding must end.

Welcome to Blogbellion. Blogbellion freely promotes the best of stores in our neighborhoods. Blogbellion champions the moms and the pops of the world, beginning right here in New York City. How? By crafting witty, comical and bizarre blog posts that showcase the small businesses in our community. All of these posts are customized by Blogbellion’s own team of award-wining writers.

But Blogbellion is much more than a cause. It is a crusade to encite people to get off their lazy asses and spend a little more than they’re used to on our neighborhood stores so we have something to visit, to shop, to socialize, now and in the future.

Above all, Blogbellion fights to preserve something for the next generation. Don’t our children have a right to lose themselves in a corner bookstore as we did? Don’t they have a right to touch the fabric of the clothes the’ll buy as we did? Blogbellion… not taking from community, but building a community.

GOAL: Connect consumers to local businesses and, simultaneously, foster b2b relationships.

VALUE PROPOSITION: offers FREE promotion to local businesses by writing about them in its blog. These posts are written by expert and professional writers. does this to the exclusion of the large retailers that harm local businesses.

SELF-FEEDBACK LOOP: As promotes and markets local stores, such stores promote Blogbellion. Blogbellion, then, creates its own internal pipeline for stores to help promote each other. This is done under the umbrella of Blogbellion, which will allow one segment of stores to interact and communicate with another segment that would otherwise not have contact. Thus, Blogbellion brokers relationships for solidarity and for b2b engagements.

DISTRIBUTION: Blogbellion functions as a free, localized distributor for products and services. Blogbellion will use its own email list to send friendly, non-intrusive offers for giveaways. What are the giveaways? Free products from any Blogbellion partner/sponsor.

TERMS: Stores donate products and services to Blogbellion. Blogbellion then gives away the stores’ products and services to its consumers through its blog posts. Businesses, in turn, offer reciprocal promotion by allowing Blogbellion to leave postcards at their stores. As well, stores offer a direct link or backlink to on their own websites.







WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA NECESSITY: Blogbellion promotes stores that have a website and an active social media, otherwise reciprocity would be lacking. The reality of digital commerce cannot be ignored. Stores must give themselves every opportunity to compete at every level. Having a website — and a dynamic one, at that — may turn out to be the competitive edge needed to help a store standout among the countless other stores vying for the same space.
